Pay fines at library with food donations

Do you have overdue books or fines on your library card? Since November is traditionally a month for giving, combine giving overdue books back to the library with making a food donation. From Sunday, Nov. 22 to Sunday, Nov. 29, library patrons will be able to turn in overdue books and have the fines reduced or even eliminated with a food donation. With each donation of a non-perishable food item, fines will be reduced by $3. This is the first time the Warwick Public Library is providing a Food for Fines week.

All the food collected will be given to West Bay Community Action. The Circulation Department will be happy to answer any questions about the Food for Fines program at 739-5440, ext. 4.
