From the first meeting held in May 2009 when the Warwick Sewer Authority told the residents of the Governor Francis Phase 11 sewer project that there would be mandatory connections to now there has been a concerted and consistent effort by certain residents to expose the enquities in such treatment. This was never a political issue. It was not an environmental issue. It was a financial issue. However, I believe it is fair to say, since I have personally been involved, that the residents of the Phase 11 project have received no support from the Mayor or Mr. Colantuono. At times, there have been numerous residents involved as advocates, to numerous to name. In the race to the finish line, that being the legislative action, the following residents, all there from the beginning were there at the State House testifying - Messrs. Durand, Cushman, Nadeau, and Ms. Michelle Komar.

Without the assistance of Senator McCaffrey and Representative McNamara this would not have happened. They rightfully deserve significant credit.
