Our primary goal is to provide a comfortable and welcoming place for our Military Members and Veterans to relax and regroup during their travels through our State. You will be an important person in helping make their visit an enjoyable and relaxing one.

The requirements for volunteering are: 1) Filling out an application (ATTACHED), 2) Acquiring a current BCI (background) check from the Attorney General’s Office and 3) Attending a brief orientation class. We will be very flexible with scheduling classes and I have included instructions for obtaining the BCI via regular mail as well as in person at the Attorney General's Office in Providence, RI.

The volunteer times are in 4 hour segments (except for the last segment) and are open to the schedules of our volunteers. The times are 7am - 11am OR 11am - 3pm OR 3pm - 7pm and finally, a 3 hour shift, 7pm - 10pm. The RIMO Military Lounge will be open 7 days a week. If you could give a minimum of 4 hours a month, it would be appreciated!

Please remember: You do not have to have your BCI or even your completed application to attend the Orientation class. We will have extra applications on hand and a notary there if one is needed.
