You can't tear up a road and not have a police detail for protection. I feel a lot safer to know the police are directing traffic at these busy bottle necks. People slow down and obey when they see the police. Don't think they won't copy your license plate reg. down if you do some thing in violation and get mailed a ticket ! The bottom line is this. We have a aging infrastructure that needs work! It also means jobs! Money well spent. We need clean drinking water. Water is going to become more valuable than oil as droughts, pollution, population all make fresh water scarce.
