I have a friend that paid over $600 for a dog from out of state. We have a great assortment of dogs at the Warwick Animal Shelter. Why do people have to import dogs from out of state to adopt out. I'm glad that Defenders of Animals is addressing this issue. Let's get the dogs out of the Warwick shelter, Providnece, Shelter, RISPCA, and other shelters before we import. It's bad enough that the pet stores are getting puppies from puppy mills and now we have groups importing dogs from the South.
