Joseph T. Castriotta, 91, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at West Shore Health Center with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris M. (LaValley) Castriotta.

Born in Bristol, he was a son of the late Nicola and Antonetta (Lariola) Castriotta. He was employed in the jewelry industry, a barber at the YMCA, and chief of maintenance at Johnson & Wales University. He honorably served his country as a World War II Navy Veteran.

Joseph is survived by two daughters, Doris M. Dimeo, and Luanne L. Garofalo, two brothers, Benito and Victor Castriotta, one sister, Anna Lanni, six grandchildren: Daniel and David Dimeo, Dyana Richmond, Angela Buehne, Aubrie and John Garofalo, Jr., and eight great-grandchildren: Anthony Parrillo, Joseph, Samuel, Eva, and Anthony Dimeo, Max and Jake Richmond, and Ellie Yun. He was the father of the late Joseph T. Castriotta and brother of the late Matthew, John, Michael, Peter, Nicola, and Paul Castriotta, Carmela Hassell, Ida Ruggeri, Regina Capuano, and Jeanette Briar.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane followed by military honors. A visitation will be held in the church from 8:30-9:15 a.m. Burial will be private at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
