50 Cent visits RI as ambassador for Effen Vodka

Posted

American rapper and entrepreneurial giant 50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, visited I.M. Gan Discount Liquors in Warwick on Saturday. The musician is an ambassador for Effen Vodka, and made a tour around liquor stores throughout the United States to sign bottles for fans.

Hours before Jackson’s arrival, hundreds were lined up to buy their bottle of vodka and see the big star. One of the many in the throng, Lindsey Lerner, co-founder of D.Y.D., which aims to match local venues with musical artists to benefit one another in an effort to build up the local music scene, soon found herself inside, shaking Jackson’s hand and having a picture taken. This was also available to fans, who could not only grab an autograph, but a “selfie” as well.

Effen Vodka is a liquor company based out of Holland. Their flavors include Dutch Raspberry, Cucumber, and Salted Caramel. Black Cherry was the top seller at many of the liquor stores visited by Jackson. Their bottles of ultra-premium vodka are sold for about $30 a piece, and are made available in cases of six.

Vinny Paz looks like a bloated mess. He shouldn't want his picture taken for the paper

How sad, these so-called "celebrities" shilling for flavored alcohol...make it taste like candy so kids will buy it. They can take their "Effen" vodka, get in their "Effen" cars and go back across the Warwick Ave. Bridge to "Effen" Cranston.

The last thing sPaz needs to be promoting is alcohol.

At first I thought this article was a gag, but April 1 was three months ago...
