A Day for Eight
Lindsay Iadeluca sings the national anthem.

The sixth annual Andrew J. Gauthier Hockey Festival took over Thayer Arena on Sunday and once again featured a full day of action celebrating the life of Andrew Gauthier, a former Toll Gate hockey player. The event raises money for the Andrew J. Gauthier Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships annually to student athletes from Warwick public schools. Crowds turned out for six games, including the Hap Mathews game between the La Salle and Hingham (Mass.) girls’ hockey teams. La Salle won the Hap Mathews trophy after Prout had captured it last year. The festival also featured a ceremony in which players from all the participating teams gather in front of the “8 Lives Forever” banner and hold their sticks high in salute.
