Tuesday ceramics classes at the Pilgrim Senior Center have a devoted following of 10 to 14 seniors. “I love color so much. I love to create,” says Kathy Lannigan, who has been regularly attending the class for the last two years. She says she uses her creations for Christmas gifts. Classes that run for about two hours cost $4. In addition, class members pay for ceramic items that are glazed and fired in a kiln before they are painted and coated with a clear finish.
