Rhode Island Families for School Choice rallied at the State House to dispel myths that school vouchers cost more money and drain funds from public schools and private schools are unregulated and to advocate that choice and competition produce better academics. The rally brought a wave of yellow (the choice of color for RIFSC) scarves to the rotunda and surrounding corridors as students and faculty circulated and spoke with legislators. A number of Warwick schools were presented, including Bishop Hendricken High School, and all three of the city’s parochial high schools. The rally coincided with the observance of Catholic School Week. Pictured from left are St. Kevin School students Sara Corrigan, Jillian Devanney, James Beaulieu and Catrina Fielding.
