Antonetta Concetta “Etta” (Giammatteo) Gendron, 90, died Saturday, March 21, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Louis G. Gendron.

She was the daughter of the late Mario T. and Rose (Pazienza) Giammatteo. Etta was employed as a medical receptionist in the Radiology Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for 30 years retiring in 1996. In retirement she worked for Dr. Mohamed Abiri, and she also volunteered at the Pilgrim Senior Center for many years.

She was the beloved mother of Sharon Gendron-Petroff, Rosemary Gendron, Girard L. Gendron, and the late Gregory J. Gendron and Daniel G. Gendron. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren who knew her best as” Granny Etta” who were the love of her life.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
