Artists open studios Oct. 22 & 23 for free West Bay tour

During the weekend of October 22-23, twenty West Bay artists residing will open their studios to the public for the eighth annual West Bay Open Studios Tour. This free, self-guided tour, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. includes studios in East Greenwich, Warwick and North Kingstown.

This once-a-year opportunity gives art lovers and collectors the perfect venue to shop for fine art, jewelry and crafts. The artists will welcome the public in their studios and talk about their art and creative processes. The wide array of art that will be for sale includes oil paintings, printmaking, pastel, watercolor, calligraphy, sculpture, pottery, photography, jewelry, stained glass, fused glass, woodturning and mixed media.

Artists exhibiting in Warwick include Lorraine Bromley, Sharon D. Eisman, and Carol Shelton. East Greenwich artists are Marjorie Ball, Alice Benvie Gebhart (Heritage Art Gallery), Nancy Gaucher-Thomas, Nancy Nielsen, and Jane Parillo Rollins (Scribe). In North Kingstown, the artists are Nina Ackmann, Donato Beauchaine, Debbie Ferrazzoli, Henry Gauthier, Susan Kelley Scotti (Kelley Kreations Pottery), Mark Knapp, Ken MacDonald, Lynn Martin, Karen Murtha, Vanessa Piche and Lorena Pugh. The studio of Tiffany Adams is in Exeter.

The group has a Facebook page, where current information about the artists and the upcoming event is shared with the public. Printed brochures with maps, are also available at the local businesses that sponsor this event and in the art studios during the event.

The tour is free and open to the public. Follow the bright gold signs along the road with studio numbers in red dots.
