College honors

Lasell College in Newton, Mass., has released the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2014-15 academic year. During the fall semester, 634 students received this recognition. Warwick residents earning honors include: Alanna Greco, a member of the class of 2015 majoring in fashion communication and promotion; Meaghan Spillane, a member of the class of 2015 majoring in psychology; Lindsay Tavarozzi, a member of the class of 2016 majoring in Communication; and Elizabeth Bennett, a member of the class of 2017 majoring in fashion and retail merchandising.

Kerrin McKenney

Warwick native Kerrin K. McKenney, a member of the Class of 2016 at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass., is studying at the NUI Galway Direct Program in Ireland during the spring 2015 semester through Stonehill’s study abroad program.

Recently named one of the top study abroad institutions in the nation by the Institute of International Education, Stonehill has more than 200 study abroad programs in 35 countries that students can choose from.

This semester, a total of 158 Stonehill students are studying or interning in locations throughout the world.

Brittnie Cole earns

Newbury honors

Brittnie Cole, daughter of Richard and Amber Cole of Warwick and a member of the 2013 Class at Veterans Memorial High School, has been named to the dean’s list at Newbury College in Brookline, Mass. She is the granddaughter of Earl and Doris Cole of Warwick and Betty Zulewski of West Warwick.

Earning SNHU honors

Three Warwick residents have been named to the president’s list for the fall 2014 semester at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester. To be eligible for this honor, a student must compile an academic grade point average of 3.7-4.0. Earning honors are Scott Blackmar, B.S. sports management; Stephen Denis, B.S. sports management and Laura Martinelli, B.A. communications.

Siena College

Two Warwick residents were named to Siena College Dean’s List for the fall 2014 semester. They are Caitlyn Carlson, an English major, and Kathryn Burke, a biology major.

On U of Vermont dean’s list

Three Warwick students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2014 semester at the University of Vermont. The Warwick students are: Morgan Medeiros, a first-year student professional nursing major; Meline Thebarge, a first-year student English major and Dylan Casey, a first-year student mathematics major.

Durand on dean’s list

Christopher Durand, a freshman majoring in accounting, from Warwick was among approximately 2,125 students at Coastal Carolina University who made the fall 2014 dean’s list.

Abbott earns

Hofstra honors

Stefanie Abbott of Warwick excelled during the fall 2014 semester, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Dean’s List at Hofstra University.

Springfield College has named the following Warwick students to the dean’s list for the 2014 fall semester: Amanda LaCroix who is studying applied exercise science; Adriana DiGiuseppe who is studying communication sciences and disorders; Nicole Authelet who is studying health science/pre-physician assistant; Lauren Peladeau who is studying health science/pre-physical therapy; Mikayla Rogers who is studying health science/pre-physical therapy and Paige Caffrey who is studying rehabilitation and disability studies.
