Bald Hill Auto Group helps fuel automotive program with engines

Posted

The automotive program at the Warwick Area Career and Technical Center is the owner of three brand new vehicle engines thanks to the Bald Hill Auto Group (Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep-Ram & Kia). The engines have an approximate value of $4,800. The dealership donated the engines to the career center to ensure that the students in the automotive program are trained on the latest equipment.

Jim Hagan, president of Bald Hill Auto Group, said in a statement, “New technology has been on the rise with the new model vehicles that we see every day. We will need trained technicians to service these vehicles. The Warwick School Program points these students in the right direction with their education so that when they are ready to enter the workplace they already have an advantage.”

Hagan has a history of supporting training students for the automotive industry. Bald Hill’s technicians also receive specific, corporate training for specific brands.

School representatives, Superintendent Phil Thornton and center director William McCaffrey, as well as students in the program, and Bald Hill employees joined Hagan for the donation presentation at the new Commercial Truck Center on Bald Hill Road.

McCaffrey said that it is always in the best interest of students when schools and their communities can work together on initiatives like this.
