Barbara Ann (Schettini) Callahan, 68, of Warwick, RI, died peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, on Friday, December 12 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. She was the devoted wife of Robert Callahan.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Schettini and Mary (Gossage) Schettini. A beacon of friendship and love, Barbara has left a legacy of selflessness to everyone she has met and cared for. A remarkable artist, Barbara attended classes at the RI School of Design and the Boston Museum of Fine Art. Barbara was a jewelry designer for Klitzner Manufacturing and for thirty years an administrative assistant at Kent County Memorial Hospital until retiring in 2010. Barbara was a parishioner of St. Rita parish in Warwick, and an active member of both the Bradenton Florida art club and the Health Trax athletic club.

Barbara was the beloved mother of Brian Callahan and his wife, Lisa, Alicia King and her husband, Robert (WPD), Matthew Callahan and his wife, Erica; doting grandmother of Colton, Ryley, Jonathan, and Brianna; and loving sister of Alfred Schettini.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, December 17, at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours Tuesday 3-8 p.m.
