Barbara J. (Hamill) Patrick

Barbara J. (Hamill) Patrick, 83, of Warwick, passed away February 16, 2013. She was the wife of the late Homer T. Patrick.

Born in Providence, daughter of the late Harold and Blanche (Payton) Hamill. Barbara was an Insurance Adjuster at All State Insurance for many years. Upon retirement, she also worked at the former Gladdings Department store, New England Telephone Company and Providence College as a telephone operator. She along with her husband, Homer were the original owners of Dockside Seafood, the former Kalba Kennells and the S.S. Victoria Restaurant. She enjoyed all her devoted friends as well as gardening, cooking and reading. Barbara was one of the original volunteers at the Providence Ronald McDonald House and continued until her illness. She was a member of the Pawtuxet Village Garden Club.

She was the mother of Jean M. Wickenden, H. Thomas Patrick and Katherine A. Patrick. She was the grandmother of Thomas and Trevor Patrick and Christina and Constantin Wickenden.

Funeral Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral home, 1895 Broad St. at Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Church, 350 Fair St., Warwick. Burial will be at Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
