Barbara L. Fanning, 88, died Thursday, February 2, 2017. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Fanning, Jr.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Loretta (Silva) Gage, she resided in Warwick most of her life.
She was the beloved mother of Charles L. Fanning, III, Susan M. Conti (Richard. A), Michael K. Fanning, Karen M. Fusco, and the late Gregory F. Fanning and Kristine Tarbox; and the sister of Norman Gage. She also leaves 18 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, and was the grandmother of the late Melissa A. Tarbox and Michael K. Fanning.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting Hours, Monday 4-8 p.m.
