Barbara L. Haden, 88, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016. She was the wife of the late Clarence S. Haden.
Born in Mt. Vernon, NY a daughter of the late John and Bernice (Scott) Glover, she resided in Bronx, NY before moving to Warwick in 1989. Mrs. Haden had been employed as a lab technician for over 20 years with Farrand Control in Valhalla, retiring in 1989. She served as a Deacon with the Second Free Will Church in Providence, was active with the AARP and the Pilgrim Senior Center and the Red Hat Society. She served as past president of the Willow Glen Condominium Association and she loved quilting and was a member of the Narragansett Bay Quilters Association.
She was the mother of Clarence S. Haden, Jr. and his wife, Constance Haden of MD, Theresa L. Boone of Warwick, and the late George K. Haden; grandmother of Jamal Boone, Rhasaan Boone, Kyle Haden, Kevin Haden and Jasmine Jennings; sister of James Glover and the late Douglas, John, George, Elizabeth Glover and Ruth Charlotte Coleman.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 27, 4-6 p.m. with a service at 6 p.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. A funeral service will also be held Tuesday, May 31, at 10 a.m. with a visitation at 9 a.m. in the Grace Baptist Church, 52 South 6th Avenue, Mt.
