Bernard J. McCaughey, 79, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Theresa M. (Mimande) McCaughey for thirty-four years.

He was the son of the late Bernard and Alice (Roussel) McCaughey. Bernard was a lifetime D.A.V. Member and served in the United States Air Force. He was a life member of the Elks and a member of the 102nd AC&W Squadron. He golfed after he retired. Bernard also played softball for many years and was an avid bowler and fisherman. He loved to travel in retirement. He was employed for Ciba-Geigy for 24 years and GTECH for 14 years as a maintenance mechanic.

Brother of Leo McCaughey of Melbourne, Florida, Mary McCaughey of Warwick and the late Judy Scotti. He was the father of two daughters: Kathleen O’Mara and Colleen Johnson, both of Warwick and formerly was the husband of the late Sally McCaughey. Step-father of Donna Miller of Georgia and William Harrison, Jr. and Tammy Sisson, both of Warwick. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

His funeral was held on Monday, November 9, from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick (Exit 12-A off Rte. I-95) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Ave., Warwick. Relatives and friends were invited. Burial followed in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
