One-year-old Kaydin Almstrom of Oakland Beach was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in November 2015, and he relapsed on June 30. He needs a bone marrow transplant urgently, and you could be the match that helps save his life. The Warwick Police Department will hold a bone marrow drive for Kaydin on July 10 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Police Headquarters, 99 Memorial Drive, Warwick. The drive only requires participants to give a swab sample from their cheek to be tested. A driver’s license or photo ID is required. If you cannot attend this event but wish to help, stop in any RI Blood Bank or contact www.bethematch.com to get registered for free as a bone marrow donor.
