The Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island (BIARI) has announced that in the fall the non-profit will be hosting its second Hidden Treasure Gala on Friday, Sept. 16, at the Aldrich Mansion in Warwick, and its On the Move 5K Run on Sunday, Oct. 16, at Goddard Memorial State Park.

The gala on Friday, Sept. 16, starts at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). The Aldrich Mansion is located at 836 Warwick Neck Ave., Warwick. Tickets are $125, and $150 after Aug. 19. For information on becoming a sponsor and/or donating to the silent auction or to RSVP, call 228-3319 or email robyn@biari.org.

Check in time for the 5K Run (which includes walkers and joggers) is 9 a.m. at the Carousel at Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick. Runners start at 10 a.m., and walkers and joggers take off at 10:30 a.m. The registration fee is $30/$35 day of the event. All participants will receive a TEK shirt. You can register in advance by calling 228-2219 or emailing robyn@biari.org.

“By participating in these events, you can help the staff members of the only nonprofit in the state solely dedicated to brain injury continue their great work of educating, informing and advocating for individuals living with a brain injury,” said Debra Sharpe, executive director of BIARI. “Our organization brings help, hope and healing to those with a brain injury as well as to their families and the professionals who serve them.”
