Bud Morgan Finnell, age 87, of Custer, South Dakota, passed away January 14, 2014, at the Castle Manor Nursing Home in Hot Springs, SD. Bud is survived by his wife, LaVonne of Custer
Bud was born January 20, 1926, in Fremont County, Iowa to Simpson and Bertha (Reid) Finnell. During World War II, Bud served in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class.
He is also survived by his sons: Terry (Gretchen) Finnell of Warwick, Rhode Island, Morgan (Carol) Finnell of Gonzales, Louisiana, and daughter, Cheryl (Ron) Slizoski of Yutan, Nebraska; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, January 18, 2014, at McColley’s Chapel of the Hills in Custer with Pastor Matt Furse officiating. Interment followed at the Custer Cemetery.
