Meadowbrook Bingo

Meadowbrook Terrace, 2220 Warwick Ave., has bingo every Friday might at 6:30 p.m., featuring great prizes and a wonderful group of people. All are welcome.

Warwick Historical Society

The Warwick Historical Society meets weekly at the John Waterman Arnold House on Roger Williams Circle Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and every second Saturday of the month at 11 a.m.-2 p.m. All are welcome and urged to become a member and volunteer. Tri City Elks Events

Pre-New Year’s Eve Bash Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. $25 per person. Music from the Here Again Band. Menu will be roast beef, mushroom gravy, 2 baked stuffed shrimp, baked potato, vegetable and salad. Purchase your tickets by Dec. 22.

Roger Ceresi’s All Starz Band on New Years Eve starting at 8:30. $20 noise makers and champagne toast.

Free Community Lunch

There will be a free community lunch and food pantry Dec. 28 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 111 West Shore Road, Warwick. All are welcome. Please don’t arrive before 11 am. RIPTA #3 Warwick Ave – Hoxsie Four Corners stop at West Shore Nursing Home next to St. Mark’s.

Traditional Christmas Music Concert

Our Lady of Grace Church, 4 Lafayette St., Johnston, is holding an afternoon of traditional Christmas music as we celebrate the Christmas season. This concert features Triton Brass, whose members have played with groups such as the Boston Pops, Boston Symphony Orchestra and on many of the leading Broadway shows. The choir includes some of the most talented vocalists from the Southern New England region who have come together with Triton Brass to perform the most loved Christmas music of all time. Tickets for the concert are $10, and the first 250 tickets sold will include an Italian pasta and polenta dinner following the concert in the church hall. Bingo

Bingo with new and exciting prizes to celebrate the new year will be held Jan 4. at St. Kevin’s church hall, 333 Sandy Lane. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6.

Gorton High School Luncheon

Northeast Grange Leaders Conference

The Rhode Island State Grange will be hosting the 2014 Northeast Grange Leaders Conference from Jan. 10-12 at the Radisson Hotel, 2081 Post Road, Warwick. The conference is open to all Grange members that would like to attend. The conference registration fee is $10 per person, and all attendees must register. Room reservations must be made with the hotel by Dec. 30 by calling 739-3000. Be sure to mention Rhode Island State Grange when making reservations. The single or double occupancy rate is $79 per night plus tax. Check in time at the hotel is 3 p.m. Among the highlights of the conference will be breakout sessions in which different officers and department heads from the different states get together to exchange ideas to show what others are doing. There will be special workshops that will take place. Among the speakers at this conference from the National Grange staff will be Edward Luttrell, National Grange president, and Michael Martin, National Grange Leadership/Membership director. Pilgrim Senior Center Trips

The Tuesday Pilgrim Senior Center singing group is sponsoring a nine-night cruise to Puerto Rico, Bermuda, St. Marteen and Haiti on April 24-May 3, 2014. Call Diane at 738-8588 for prices.

Beginner Line Dance Classes

Hi-Lo-Jack League

Clothing Drive

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State is seeking donations of gently-used clothing and small household items. Donations help to raise much-needed funding to support mentoring programs for boys and girls throughout the state. They offer convenient home pick-up of donations and provide a tax receipt. For more information or to schedule a home pick-up call 921-2434 or visit www.bbbsos.org.

West Bay Chorale

The West Bay Chorale welcomes new and former members, male and female, all ages. Aphasia Conversation Group

On the second Tuesday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m., Sargent Rehabilitation Center, 800 Quaker Lane, Warwick, holds an aphasia conversation group. This group provides a supportive meeting place for people with aphasia to socialize and share their communication challenges and strategies. There is no charge for participation. The Village Singers

The Village Singers, an adult vocal ensemble, is seeking new members for all voice parts: soprano, alto, tenor and baritone. Rehearsals will be on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. at the Scandinavian Home, Broad St., Cranston. Donate Shop

The Donate Shop is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit thrift store that provides free clothing to families in crisis. They are an all-volunteer organization that relies solely on the support of the community to continue this endeavor. The shop has a new location at 400 Warwick Ave., Unit #14, between Dunkin Donuts and Shaw’s. Free Sunday Lunch
