Catherine M. Rochira, 82, died Sunday at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Louis Rochira for 55 years.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Luke and Catherine (Skrabonja) Skunza. A graduate of the RI Hospital School of Nursing, Catherine was a Registered Nurse and at one time had been the Nursing Director for the Warwick Geriatric Day Care Center. She had also been the head nurse at the Royal Manor Nursing Home in East Greenwich, as well as a private duty nurse for the late Senator Theodore Francis Green. Her final wish was fulfilled by her participation in the Anatomical Gift Program of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her cherished daughters: Regina Wilkinson and her husband, Jeff of North Kingstown, and Jennifer A. Rochira of Warwick; her cherished grandchildren: Alysia, Michael and Robert Wilkinson; a brother, Luke Skunza of Burrillville, and her sisters: Mary Senkarik of San Jose, California, Anna Punchak of Front Royal, Virginia and Helen Grady of Woonsocket. She was the sister of the late Aloysius Skunza.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 22 at 10 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
