Cheryl M. Plowman, 67, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2016.

A lifelong Rhode Island resident, she was the daughter of the late Milo ‘Carl’ Plowman and the late Marilyn L. (Marsh) Plowman. A graduate of Pilgrim High School, Cheryl was employed in the field of finance for countless years, having worked at Old Stone Bank for 25 years before ending her professional career as a bursar for Johnson and Wales University. An avid movie fan, she would spend much of her spare time watching films dating back to the classics of the 50’s all the way up to the high-tech sci-fi films of the present. She enjoyed reading fiction, was an accomplished drawing artist, and reveled in her collection of eclectic objects. Always wanting to surprise people, she would often amaze others with her generosity, and her endeavors into playing softball, riding her motorcycle, and traveling solo across the country in her bright red Karmann Ghia Volkswagen, leaves nothing but pleasant memories and wide smiles.

Cheryl was the sister of the late David M. Plowman of North Kingstown and is survived by her twin sister Carlene B. Stotler of Warwick and her brothers Dean A. Plowman of Smithfield and Drew E. Plowman of Warwick. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and her dear friend Lisa.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 22nd, at 6:00 p.m., at the Lakewood Baptist Church located at 255 Atlantic Avenue in Warwick, followed immediately by refreshments and the opportunity to reminisce about this precious woman’s life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, at www.stjude.org, would be greatly appreciated.
