The Johnston boys’ soccer team earned a 6-6-2 record in Division III during the fall, and senior striker Chris Cardenas accounted for nearly half of the Panthers’ offense, scoring 12 of the team’s 25 goals.
In all, Cardenas capped off his Johnston career with a season in which he added three assists to go with those 12 goals for a team-high 15 points, ranking him ninth in Division III in points.
Cardenas’ best performance came back on Oct. 14, in a 7-3 victory over Providence Country Day. He netted six goals that day in the lopsided win.
