On Friday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m., Woodridge United Church of Christ will welcome individuals and families wishing to attend a “Blue Christmas Gathering.”
Many people experience feelings of a “Blue Holiday” around the Christmas season. In Elvis Presley’s song, “Blue Christmas,” we hear “when those blue snowflakes start falling, that’s when those blue feelings start falling.”
This gathering is open to everyone who would like to come to talk about and share their feelings, to give comfort and support and to think about how this holiday season might be different.
Come to this gathering knowing that you are not alone.
Woodridge United Church of Christ is located at 546 Budlong Road, Cranston. Weekly services are held every Sunday at 10 a.m. Following the service each Sunday, a coffee hour is held in Fellowship Hall.
Woodridge is a community of hope, encouragement and love that is deeply rooted in the reality of the risen Christ, with all the possibilities and challenges that it grants us. We welcome and remind you that, “No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at Woodridge.”
