Coastway Community Bank, in conjunction with the city of Warwick, is hosting a free seminar for the public on changes to the National Flood Insurance Program Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers at Warwick City Hall, 3275 Post Road.

Speaking at the seminar are Michelle Burnett, CFM, state floodplain coordinator for the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency, and Doug Platt, flood territory manager at Selective Insurance Company of America. Burnett and Platt will cover mapping changes in Rhode Island that affect residents’ need for flood insurance and the ramifications of these changes. A question and answer period will follow. Seating is limited and attendees are encouraged to arrive promptly.
