"This is the place." No truer words were uttered than these four words spoken by Arthur Chapman of his favorite destination in Warwick ~ Buttonwoods Fish & Chips. Raised in Warwick since he was a six-month old baby and now retired from the Warwick School department, Chapman knows this city like the back of his hand - and for him, this cozy and inviting corner nook on Buttonwoods Avenue is like home. Now living in West Greenwich, he wouldn't miss his longstanding weekly breakfast date with friend Frank. Arthur and Frank, whose friendship has spanned three decades, know that good things are worth holding on to - good things like cozy, inviting restaurants, and traditions, and true friends.

When queried about a favorite menu item off the Daily Specials board, Chapman pauses, and then replies: "Anything on here! I just go down the list!" Today, he tried one of owner Tony Fiore's specialties, his mouth-watering Grilled Kielbasa and Peppers Omelet. With so many delectable specials to choose from, from grilled Kielbasa omelets to Peanut Butter and Banana Stuffed French Toast to Ham/Broccoli/Roasted Red Pepper Omelets - no wonder Chapman wants to try them all! Not so for his pal Frank. Frank is a loyal Buttonwoods Fish & Chips' Oatmeal guy. And why not? It is creamy and steamy (and healthy). "This is the place" for Arthur and Frank - and for so many other loyal fans of Tony and Jackie Fiore. Whether you are a sausage fan or an oatmeal fan, the food is always hot and ready to eat at Buttonwoods Fish & Chips.

Opened almost ten years, this "best kept secret" in Warwick attracts customers from the entire region. Known for its attentive service, its affordability and its homey atmosphere - to say nothing of its always delicious and homemade food - it is worth the trip. In fact, Buttonwoods just went through a major renovation which reflects all the diverse neighborhoods throughout the area, and which shows that this family-run business is still going strong.

At Buttonwoods, the food is wholesome, made from scratch, and all made in Tony's immaculate kitchen. Here, you will find a long list of hot-off-the-grill breakfasts including fresh omelets, French toast, waffles, bagels, pancakes, breakfast meats & home fries - the choices are endless and incredibly affordable. Lunch is just as enticing, with your favorite classic hot and cold sandwiches, crispy salads and tasty fish platters. On Friday evenings, enjoy a large selection of hearty and ever-changing American and Italian-style dishes.
