County Cork Irish Pub: For ‘pub-grub’ at its best

Posted

It may be a crisp, autumn day with a cool breeze coming off the water, but there is always something hot simmering on the stove of Warwick's own County Cork Irish Pub. Whether it is a crock of chowder or a cauldron of homemade chili, you will find something to warm your body this fall here at this cozy pub.

County Cork Irish Pub is the passion and pride of Cora McAuliffe, a true native of Ireland. As someone well familiar with the rustic and comfortable feel of an authentic Irish pub, Cora has created an ambiance and menu at her pub that are as welcoming and inviting as the pubs that dot the landscape of her faraway homeland.

Some of the many hearty options available at County Cork include their famous golden Fish & Chips, along with these mouth-watering favorites: Baked Scrod, Fried Shrimp, bacon-stuffed BLT Wraps, Saugies with hand-cut fries, gourmet Stuffies, and sinfully delicious Potato Skins - to say nothing of their fresh sandwiches and salads. Come in now for one of their incredible Winter Dinner Specials including a soup or salad, main course and dessert (with tea or coffee).

While County Cork's food is reason enough to come here, its full-service bar draws ample crowds as well. Come throw back a 20 oz. original pour of Guinness beer and enjoy 25 cent wings and $5 appetizers during every Patriots game.

As a way to support those serving in our military, County Cork has also been hosting a weekly "Charity Meat Raffle", all of whose proceeds go to "Operation Standdown". Every Saturday until November 16th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, purchase a raffle ticket and earn a chance to win prizes such as assorted meats and dairy products, as well as gift certificates to local markets. A 50/50 raffle is also held (tickets to this available all week) and a drawing is taken every 15 minutes, so come in for some lunch - and go home with something for dinner while you help a worthy cause. Bring in your military, police or fire patch to represent your unit or department!

Don't forget County Cork Irish Pub's homestyle Sunday morning breakfasts. Enjoy generous portions of all your favorite breakfast fare, from pancakes to home fries to omelettes to some of the best hash in town. Start your Sundays mornings here from 8:30 to noon every weekend.

There is also LIVE entertainment here at County Cork every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Cora herself performs every other week; her next performance is November 8th - mark your calendars!
