Cowardly attack of Ladouceur

To the Editor:

In an attempt to undermine progress in our beloved city, Eugene Nadeau’s recent attack on distinguished Councilman Ed Ladouceur has instead demonstrated how out of touch he is with the pulse of our city.

You know what is pale and cruel, Eugene? Watching you sit on stage and ignore the desperate pleas of parents and teachers who are watching our schools fall into disarray.

You know what makes a man an egotistical bully, Eugene? Picking and choosing what information you will accept based on whether the person speaking is one of the few remaining school committee supporters.

Where are these supporters of yours, Eugene? Anyone in attendance at school committee meetings would agree that the people of Warwick are unanimous in their disgust with the conduct of the school committee.

You want to talk about what qualifies as a disrespectful affront to our beautiful children, Eugene? How about when our teachers, who are the experts in their fields unlike the people around you, testify that they are witnessing clear and blatant violations of federal law by ignoring legally binding IEP provisions. Maybe, Eugene, just maybe, if you fulfilled your duties as an elected official then honorable people like Councilman Ladouceur would not have to step in and do your job for you. If you spent as much time working on teacher contracts as you do launching cowardly attacks on Mr. Ladouceur, who is admirably serving as a voice for the people, then our teachers would have had a contract signed years ago and they would have the resources they need in their classrooms to serve our children. And just maybe, Eugene, you would have more children living on your street if you had done your job and provided our schools and children with the resources they have desperately needed, but which have never arrived under your watch.

And speaking of your watch on the school committee, Eugene, you know what discredits and brings harm to Warwick Schools? I’ll make it easy for you; just look around at the rest of the people on stage with you. If it were not for people like Karen Bachus and Councilman Ladouceur then the pleas of concerned Warwick citizens would be falling on deaf and ignorant ears. How unfortunate it is that the people of Warwick must wait two more years to unseat you.

If you think the councilman is a bully for fighting for the rights of our children, then brace yourself, because he’s not alone. Dean Johnson

Warwick

Mr. Johnson was a candidate for an at-large seat on the School Committee, placing third in the results. Karen Bachus was reelected and David Testa was elected to the two 4-year posts.

    Mr. Johnson,

Your comments are deplorable and ignorant and they show the minuscule mentality that you posses.

Seriously? Dean attends every School Committee Meeting and cares more about the schools than you could ever do. Why don't you and Warwick Watch go chase and stalk some fire trucks and city vehicles? That's what you do best.

Thank you Mr. Johnson you are 100% correct you said on the incompetent Eugene Nadeau and I applaud Mr. Ladouceur for his fight. There needs to be changes on rules, laws and especially the people who sit on that stage.

    One thing to say #nogenein18!

He is so out of touch with education, with the city and with the students! Cannot wait to see him go!

He is a hateful, spiteful man!

Ah, Imhere is here, I'm so happy,

I am disappointed that he didn't take the opportunity to profess his undying love for the redheaded menace though. Maybe on some future rant.

@thatguyinri I'm so glad I'm on your mind all the time. How does it feel to be the leader ventriloquist doll for the administration?
