Cynthia E. “Cindy” (Sheldon) Morris, age 68, of Mill Cove Road, Warwick, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, March 26, 2015. She was the wife of John P. “Pete” Morris, III.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Leonard C. and Viola S. (Enstrom) Sheldon, she was a life-long Warwick resident. She was a 1965 graduate of Pilgrim High School, and a 1969 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where she was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. Early in her career, she taught home economics at Gorton Junior High School.

Cindy was co-owner, with her husband, of Morris Farm in Warwick since 1978. 2015 marks the 100th year that the farm has been owned and operated by the Morris family. Her brilliant smile welcomed generations of visitors and local students on field trips to the farm.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Christina S. Morris, R.P.H., M.D. of Warwick and Maryellen R.M. Sun, M.D., and her husband, Michael J. Sun, of Brookline, Massachusetts; a son, John P. Morris, IV, Ph.D. of New York, NY; and three grandchildren, Elina N. Sun, Michael J. Sun, Jr. and Matthew J. Sun. She was the sister of the late John W. Sheldon.

Her funeral service was held on Monday, March 30, in Woodbury Union Church, Presbyterian, 58 Beach Avenue, Warwick. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
