(The gory origin of Dracula)

Do you lie awake at night wondering where Dracula came from?

Well, you don’t have to wonder any more. “Dracula Untold” tells you all in gory detail.

Prince Vlad of Transylvania, aka The Great Impaler (Luke Evans), has been leading his empire in peace and prosperity for the past 10 years. He pays off the evil sultan in silver coins, but the sultan gets greedy and demands 1,000 young boys to bolster his army.

Vlad has been living the good life with his wife and son, but now the sultan wants his son. That’s where Vlad draws the line. Vlad sells his soul to a gross looking satanic-like guy who lives in a bat cage in exchange for the power to single-handedly lead his people into battle. But, like all deals with the devil, there are conditions.

Our hero returns to Transylvania to defend his realm, killing thousands of bad guys by using his Dracula powers, but pays a big price for becoming a vampire. All the vampire elements are there: bats, sharp canine teeth, bloodsucking, silver, stakes in the heart, and the killer sunlight.

Dracula prevails, but only after losing half the population of Transylvania.

Rated PG-13, with lots of violence and vampire bloodsucking.
