Dorothy M. (Hultenius) Bishop, age 85, of Merry Mount Drive, Warwick, died on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of William F. Bishop for 61 years.

Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Gunnar W. and Hildur E. (Nelson) Hultenius, she lived in Warwick since 1941. She was a graduate of Edgewood Junior College. Mrs. Bishop was employed as a dental assistant for many years. She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and its Altar Guild. She was also a member of Pioneer Lodge Vasa Order of America, and the RI Swedish Heritage Association.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kristine Bishop Chapman and her husband, Gary, of Wakefield; a son, William S. Bishop and his wife, Judith, of Warwick; a grandson, John W. Bishop; two step-grandchildren, Emily Iredale and her husband, Mark, and Benjamin Chapman and his wife, Natasha; and four step-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 12, at 11 a.m. in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, 6365 Post Road, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick.
