The Defenders of Animals, Inc., held its 20th Annual Homeless Animals Day/Candlelight Vigil on Aug. 16 from 6 to 9 p.m.at the Governor Sprague Mansion in Cranston. Among those receiving an award on behalf of the Warwick Fire Department was Battalion Chief David Morse for all the assistance the department have given to animals in the past.
