Elaine M. Marchant, 53, passed Tuesday , September 2, 2014, at RI Hospital. She was the wife of Peter A. Marchant.
Born in Providence a daughter of the late Franklin and Gail (Lynch) Putney she had lived in Warwick for many years. Elaine had worked as a bookkeeper for Blue Cross of RI for 20 years before retiring with disability in 2007.
Besides her husband she leaves a son, Jeffrey A. Desmarais of Warwick; and two sisters; Linda A. Babin of Warwick and Susan J. Marchant of Cranston.
Her life will be celebrated Saturday outside at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
