Elite Physical Therapy’s founder and Doctor of Physical Therapy, Michael Nula recently visited with the National Basketball Association’s Phoenix Suns training and rehabilitation center. There he met with one of their professional medical and training staff members who work with the professional basketball players every day, where he received a guided tour of their facilities and discussed current treatment techniques, scientific advances and technology being utilized to help their players recover quickly from injuries, maintain good health and prevent injuries.
The Phoenix Suns have an excellent reputation for having one of the premier rehabilitation and training programs in the entire professional basketball league and are highly regarded for their success in saving many professional basketball players’ careers, including seven-time all-star Grant Hill’s career from early retirement due to a severe injury.
“I’ve been interested in meeting with them for some time just to see and hear what they are doing first-hand,” said Nula. “My group and I have a passion to provide the latest scientific approaches to helping people recover fully and quickly from painful problems, so that they can get back to doing the things they love without limitation.”
“Being healthy isn’t just the absence of sickness or problems. Taking an active role in managing health and preventing injuries really is the key. Having good health doesn’t just happen. And that’s what I love most about what my physical therapy group and I do. We don’t just take away pain; we fix the problem and then teach people what to do to safely live active, healthy lives. Movement is the best medicine, and we want to help people keep moving so that they can live long, happy lives.”
According to the latest research, movement and exercise prevents common injuries, illnesses, cancers, diabetes, cardiac disease, depression and obesity.
