Evelyn M. (Bacon) Blomberg, 89,a resident of Cranston and Naples, FL for many years, passed away peacefully with her two daughters by her side, Monday, October 10, 2016 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI. She was the wife of the late Kenneth O. Blomberg. Evelyn enjoyed reading, doing word search puzzles and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
She was the beloved mother of Karen J. Blomberg and Laurie A. O’Rourke; mother-in-law of the late Michael J. O’Rourke, Sr.; loving grandmother of Alicia, Brien, Michael, Jr., Christopher and Kara. She was the sister of Helena Labarre and her husband, Thomas. Also survived by two great grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
Her funeral service will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. Information and condolences, visit TheQuinnFuneralHome.com
