Florence M. (Fallon) Deslandes, age 89, formerly of Byron Boulevard, Warwick, died on Monday, January 18, 2016, at Steere House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. “Art” Deslandes. They were married for 67 years.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John J. and Emma F. (Houde) Fallon, she lived in Warwick since 1947. Mrs. Deslandes was a communicant of St. Peter Church in Warwick. She was a member of the Friendly Mixer Square Dancers.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph H. Deslandes, Jr. of Exeter, John R. Deslandes of West Windsor, VT, and James G. Deslandes of North Smithfield; a brother, John J. Fallon, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Eileen M. Holt.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 21, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
