John Brown Francis School sixth graders and their families gathered at the school auditorium yesterday for the presentation of certificates and a show highlighting their last year at the elementary school. That was followed by a reception in the school’s all-purpose room where Deanna Prough tries to snatch a bite of cake while cradling her sister, Gabrielle Johnson. And, of course, there was the opportunity for friends to gather and grab photos on the last day of school. Most of the graduates will attend a re-purposed Veterans Memorial High School – soon to be a junior high – when school reopens in August. (Warwick Beacon photos)
