Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Warwick: Grand opening Dec. 7 from 6-9

Posted

There is nothing like the rhythm of Latin music to make your body move - hips swaying to the beat of the music, your feet floating across the dance floor. For business owners, instructors and competitive dancers Rogelio and Juliet Garcia, dancing to all kinds of rhythms and tempos comes as naturally as breathing.

Both Rogelio and Juliet Garcia came to America in the early 2000's ~ Rogelio from Cuba and Juliet from Germany. They have been dancing for as long as they can remember; in fact, they even met on a dance floor and are now recent newlyweds! Both are award-winning performers who share a passion for this timeless art form and who are proud to invite you to their new studio, the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Warwick.

Located next to the former home of Ross Simon's on Route 5, this sparkling new studio glistens with polished hardwood floors and bright walls of mirrors. The studio and its teaching philosophy, like the nearly 160 other such franchises across the country, are inspired by the timeless genius of dance legend Fred Astaire. Juliet explains: "Everyone can learn to dance! Our teaching methodology is tried and true. We use a three-step method of instruction which includes regularly scheduled private lessons, group technique classes and then 'practice parties'. Whether you want to be a confident social dancer or a competitive performer, we will help you reach your dance goals!"

Fred Astaire Dance Studio offers individual instruction and group lessons in all forms of both "Smooth" ballroom style (Slow waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz & Argentine Tango) and "Rhythm"/Latin-style (Cha Cha, Swing, Rumba, Mambo/Salsa, Hustle, Merengue, Paso Doble and Samba) dancing. Zumba classes and country/western dancing are also offered! Rogelio and Juliet are certified in both American and International styles of dancing - and teach all of them with grace, patience and passion! All you need to learn is a willing heart (and willing feet!)

When "Dancing with the Stars" hit the television waves, the world saw with new eyes the kind of dance forms that had once been only the stuff of old Hollywood movies. Now, Juliet and Rogelio Garcia are bringing a bit of "old" Hollywood to Warwick

Every Thursday night from 7:30 - 9:00, you are invited to an Open House and brief orientation (Champagne served too!) On Friday nights, there is a "Dance Party" from 7:30 - 9:00 which is open to the public - what a wonderful DATE NIGHT! Maybe you even want to plan that breakout surprise for your wedding! Dust off those dance shoes and call today!
