The Bishop Hendricken freshman football team took care of business in its Division I semifinal game on Saturday, defeating Cranston East 35-0 to reach the freshman Super Bowl.
The Hawks carried a big lead into the fourth quarter and were able to empty the bench, as they cruised to the victory. They will be seeking their fourth consecutive Super Bowl title.
Next up now is La Salle, which handed Hendricken its only loss during the regular season. The Rams beat Cranston West on Thursday 40-6 to advance to the Super Bowl.
La Salle beat the Hawks 28-0 back on Sept. 14. It has out-scored its opponents 306-36 this season, while Hendricken has out-scored its opponents 181-78. La Salle was 8-0 this year, and the Hawks were 7-1.
The Super Bowl will be played on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Cranston Stadium.
