George E. Ridolfi, age 85, formerly of Welfare Avenue, Warwick, died on Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Warren Center - Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in Warren.

Born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Adolpho “Bat” Ridolfi and Yole (Romoli) Ricci, he lived in Warwick for 58 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Ridolfi was a bookkeeper for the former Durant Connelly & Gallagher, Inc. in Pawtucket for many years before retiring in 1994.

He is survived by a sister, Doris L. Balzano of Barrington; two nieces, Nancy M. Serapiglia of Bristol and Lori A. Vartanian of Barrington, and a nephew, Michael Balzano, III of Sharon, Massachusetts.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, May 15, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 8-9 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
