Gerald B. Davis, CAPT., USN Ret., age 86 of North Kingstown, Rhode Island died peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2016 with his wife Tracy Taylor-Davis by his side.

He was born in Norwood, MA on May 18, 1929, and was the son of the late Theodore F. and Dorothy Davis. Gerry attended Boston University graduating in 1951 with a BA in business. He entered the Navy headed for the Supply Corps, doing his OCS training in Newport RI and served during the Korean War. After serving in the Navy, he continued to serve in the Navy Reserves where he attained the rank of Captain and retired from duty to his country in 1981. He was an entrepreneur and owned and operated Warwick Stationary, an office supply company in Warwick, RI. Gerry was a member of Christ Church in East Greenwich, where he was honored to have been involved as a deacon, after-school mentor, Alfa facilitator and where he assisted in the establishment and running of the Furniture Connection, (supplying used furniture to the needy). Gerry was a devoted husband and family man. He was known for his gentleness, loving kindness, twinkling eyes and hearty laugh.

Besides his wife Tracy, he is survived by his sister Marilyn Curtis of Tiverton. RI, brother Theodore Davis and wife, Connie Davis of Littleton, MA. Children: Robin Davis of Rowayton, CT, Dr. Brad Davis and wife, Brigitte Davis of Manhattan Beach CA., Dr. Marshall Davis and wife, Susie Davis of Lexington, South Carolina. Grandchildren: Katherine Kramer-Azzouz and husband Tammer Azzouz, Briana Davis, Braden Davis, Great Grandchildren: Adam and Gabriel Azzouz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9th at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church, 1025 Main St, East Greenwich, RI. Burial with military honors at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter will be held at a later date.
