Usually at this time of year the Crowne Plaza thanks its clients with a holiday gift, but this year Crowne Plaza clients are joining the hotel in the Feed 1,000 Rhode Islanders event to be held Dec. 19 at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Donations have been pouring in. Bradford Soap donated several cartons of soap, and there have been enough donations of small toys, toiletries and gently used coats, scarves, hats and gloves to cover several tables in the Plaza Ballroom. Donations of items as well as cash for the cause can be made at the Crowne until Dec. 7. Cookies and soft drinks await those who give. The hotel is also taking cash donations to Feed 1000. Arranging a display of donations are (from left) Nicole Woodcock, Crystal Pepin, Peggy Oliver and Sarah Shibley. (Warwick Beacon photo)
