Grace E. (Byers) McCabe, age 94, formerly of Lake Shore Drive, Warwick, died on Friday, May 9, 2014, at West Shore Health Center in Warwick. She was the wife of the late Edward J. McCabe.
Born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late John E. and Martha B. (Seaton) Byers, she lived in Warwick since 1954. Mrs. McCabe was a customer service representative at Ann & Hope on Post Road in Warwick for 20 years before retiring. She attended Cornerstone Adult Daycare in Warwick.
She is survived by a son, Michael E. McCabe and his wife, Lorraine, of Warwick; a brother, Richard Byers and his wife, Joan, of Pawtucket; three grandchildren: Melanie Andrade, Melissa McCormick, and Patrick McCabe; and four great-grandchildren: Jordyn Andrade, Molly Andrade, Fallon McCormick, and Nolan McCabe. She was the sister of the late Ruth Powers.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, at 11 a.m. in the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
