Warwick resident Jaclyn Chan will star as Jan in “Grease” at the Wheeler School March 1 and 2 at 7 p.m. and March 3 at 2 and 7 p.m. Chan, a junior at the school, said she has enjoyed working with the talented and humorous cast and expects “Grease” to be a great show. "It's not your average ‘Grease,’" Chan said. The students have put more emphasis on the comedy of the show, not the underlying sexuality within the script. “As a teenager, it has been cool to immerse myself in the culture of the Baby Boomers. Who was Doris Day? And what were leather patches? Not to mention all of the jibber jabber during the huge musical number, 'We Go Together.' Oh, and how can I forget about the choreography?” Tickets are $10 and are available online at www.wheelershool.org under the “Arts” tab.
