Greenwood Credit Union (GCU) will celebrate completion of its renovations with a weeklong open house from Sept. 23 to 27. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, Sept. 23 at 9:30 a.m., featuring special guests Mayor Scott Avedisian and Senator Bill Walaska, GCU’s chairman of the Board.

The Renovation Celebration will continue throughout the week with refreshments, giveaways and a special “Name our Fish” contest for children age 12 and under, as well as raffles for a mountain bike and a flat screen TV, among other prizes.

GCU is hosting these festivities as they share their new look with the public.

Jim Irving, GCU president and CEO, said, “We are excited about our new design, the streamlined layout and increased efficiency of our office space. We hope our members will enjoy the improvements, structurally and aesthetically. We immediately saw how much the children are attracted to the fish tank.”

Established in 1948, the Greenwood Credit Union is a community-based credit union headquartered on Post Road in Warwick. It has 53,000 members and 70 employees, and offers a full range of retail banking services.
