Greenwood Credit participates in Heat Loan Program

Greenwood Credit Union is now participating in the Heat Loan Program, one of four financial institutions statewide, sponsored by National Grid. The Heat Loan is available to those participating in the EnergyWise Home Energy Assessment Program, and is designed to promote the installation of high efficiency improvements. Qualified customers owning a one- to four-family home, and who have a current gas and/or electric account with National Grid, are eligible to apply for a 0 percent loan and obtain applicable utility rebates for the installations.

“We feel that this is a valuable program, and are pleased to be one of the lenders,” comments Jim Irving, president/CEO of Greenwood Credit Union. “This represents not only a great opportunity, but creates a real incentive for energy savings for participating homeowners for years to come.”

Homeowners are required to complete an EnergyWise Home Energy Assessment and will receive a Heat Loan Enrollment Form. To obtain information about the procedure, eligibility and schedule an appointment, call 1-888-633-7947. Also, visit www.nationalgridus.com/energywiseri.
