Handled like an all star

To the Editor:

I commend the owner of All Stars Bar & Grill for taking immediate action after a customer felt insulted by the label on his check. Much has been made of the insult by local media, national media and the keyboard warriors of social media. Unfortunately, the owner has received little credit for reaching out to the customer before the media picked up the story, publicly apologizing on all three local news stations, immediately terminating the employee – his son – and putting his son in front of the cameras to apologize for his actions. What else are those who may still be upset or offended expecting from him?

In a world where so many are quick to pass blame, I find it refreshing that the owner took accountability and held his staff accountable. It should be clear to anyone that has followed the story that the owner is a man of character and values his business and customers. I salute the owner for being proactive and accountable and encourage others to follow his lead and take responsibility for and learn from your mistakes.
